As a frame of reference, I am currently a geology student hoping to complete my studies and begin a career in palaeontology. So far I have been on two casual fossil hunting trips to North Yorkshire as of 12/23 and will continue to add to this portfolio to document my finds and other information about said finds.
Here's an interesting specimen I found on a recent fossil hunting trip.
The fossil was found on Kettleness beach in North Yorkshire. This area contains fossils from the Cleveland ironstone Formation, appx 183-185mya
The Ammonite is pyritised and the surface layer is eroded revealing some interesting detail, I imagine after some prep I could bring out more of the inner chambers which could be crystalised.
